What does it mean to dream about money?
The Golden Wheel Dream-Book (1862) read money mostly at face value. Finding it was an excellent omen, money soon to arrive; receiving it was good, and for lovers meant marriage and children; losing it was proof of failing in some favourite pursuit. Large notes and gold pieces were better than small coins.
Miller's 1901 dream dictionary (Ten Thousand Dreams Interpreted) was more cautious and more moral.
